Fatou Kiné Thioune is an economist and Assistant Professor at Dickinson College with expertise in economic research and analysis, policymaking, and program design. Her work focuses on macroeconomic development.

Fatou's current research examines productivity, structural transformation, and economic development in African countries. She also designs and teaches courses in international economics, economic development, and the political economy of development. Prior to joining academia, she worked with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Senegal, the Urban Institute, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Bank.

She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Southern California and is particularly passionate about policymaking and development initiatives.

Outside of work, Fatou enjoys reading, working out, and volunteering as a way to maintain balance across her physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
